Every song of the Shabbos table, in one book. 82 arrangements of the zemiros, tefilos and niggunim that Jewish families sing from Friday night through Havdalah, written as lead sheets you can actually play, with the complete words of every song in Hebrew and transliteration.
Open a section to see every song. Tap the blue button to hear a preview, or tap a song name to open its own sheet music.
Three reference pages at the back show every chord in this book the way your left hand really plays it: written on the staff, marked on a keyboard, with the fingering under each key. The last page gives the chord turns that carry most of the songs, so the hand stops jumping.
Tap any song in the contents or the index and you land straight on its page. A bookmark panel opens beside the book with every section and every song, so you can jump anywhere in one tap.
Put it on the piano before Shabbos and learn a tune your children will ask for again.
A full year of familiar repertoire that students want to play, at a level they can reach.
One reliable source for the melody and the words, instead of five different photocopies.
Transliteration throughout means you can sing confidently from the first evening.
82 arrangements covering the whole of Shabbos: Kabbolas Shabbos, Friday night zemiros, Shabbos day zemiros, the tefilos of Shabbos, Shalosh Seudos, Motzaei Shabbos and Melaveh Malkah, and niggunim. Every song is a lead sheet with the melody and chord symbols, plus the complete lyrics in Hebrew with transliteration at the back of the book.
No. Each song is written as a lead sheet: a single melody line with chord symbols above it. That works for piano, keyboard, guitar, violin, clarinet, flute or voice. Pianists play the melody and fill in the harmony from the chords.
Intermediate and up for playing from the chord symbols, but the melody line alone is playable by an advancing beginner. There are no complicated piano textures to learn, so you can start singing with the family straight away.
Yes. Underneath the music you get the words of the song, and the complete text of every song is printed at the back in Hebrew with a full transliteration, so anyone at the table can join in even if they do not read Hebrew.
Ashkenaz pronunciation, kept consistent from the first page to the last. Divine names appear in their substituted form.
Because families sing them to different tunes. Where a song has several well-loved melodies, all of them are included one after another, so you can find the version you grew up with.

Lea Hamm says: We are very happy to have this beautiful songbook. We have really enjoyed discovering and learning the different melodies, and then singing them together around our Shabbat table. The selection of songs is wonderful, varied, and very thoughtfully put together. There is so much to discover!
